morning dew drips off green leaves. the cool breeze greets & comforts me. the new sky breaks from violet in this scene.

as i lean on the mississippi tree.

the grass is flowing. raindrops increasing. mud surrounds my feet. the cold i feel. so I know it’s real.

as i lean on the mississippi tree.

see that tree, it protected me from all i could not see. Under that tree, the dreams that I became…

as I lean on the mississippi tree.

listen. what you eat. tropical. exotic. inamorata. same dirt to dig. same tree to hang. season to season, harvest comes and goes. pick the ripe fruit from the fields. sun-dried then fermented and heated from within.

dark & lovely. milky & sweet. spice it can even bring.

famous hue seeds from that from that fruit. fruit from the cacao tree.

that is my root.
